Children begin to develop their spiritual lives and we teach them they are precious children of God. This class helps them get to know God and explore matters of faith.
Three and Four year-olds
Children experience simple worship rituals and learn key stories in the Bible. Each story is told in a lively fashion using bright, colorful felt figures. Children respond through crafts, songs and prayers.
GODLY PLAY

Children learn the language of God’s people through sacred space, sacred stories, parables and liturgical actions.

We offer a half-hour of quiet prayer and reflection as well as individual prayer with members of the prayer team. Laying on of hands and anointing with oil are also offered. You are invited to come for prayer, for comfort, to listen, to bring a friend or relative - or just to come. In Rodney Chapel.
Monthly Feast of Praise, Prayer, Preaching, and Fellowship, 4th Sundays, 5:30 p.m. in Community Hall. Following worship, we offer table fellowship with an optional light supper ($5 per person).
About Our Worship
Westminster Presbyterian Church extends an enthusiastic welcome, in Christ’s name, to all who would worship here or join us in fellowship. We affirm that there can be no exclusion within the body of Christ. We invite all children of God to join us as Disciples of Christ and participate fully in the life of this congregation.
Additional worship opportunities are scheduled throughout the year (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Lent, Easter Holy Week, etc.)
We celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of the month at the 9:00 and 11:15 a.m. worship services and the fourth Sunday of the month at the 5:00 p.m. service. We also celebrate Communion on special days during the year, including Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday and Easter Sunrise. During the summer, it is celebrated weekly at our 8:15 a.m. Sunday service and monthly at the 10:00 a.m. service. Communion is offered in the home (usually by our deacons) to those unable to attend corporate worship. The Sacrament of Communion is open to all who claim Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, whether a member of this congregation or not.
Worship Aids for when you are with us!
Children are welcome in worship! Children’s bulletins are available each Sunday from the ushers and worship bags are available for active minds and hands. The bags include storybooks for children of all ages, a religious coloring book, and crayons.
Large print Presbyterian hymnals, as well as hearing devices, may be obtained from an usher.
Tapes and DVDs Please note that every Sunday the service is recorded. You may borrow the tapes from behind the reception desk where there is a sign-out sheet. Printed sermons are available on the literature tables the following week and on the sermons page of this website.
As a part of the membership process, Baptisms are typically celebrated the second Sunday of the month. Any members desiring to have their children baptized may contact secretary Suzie Hurlock for more information. Baptism is also provided to prospective members who have not previously been baptized.
