We are committed to your safety!
No-touch hand sanitizing stations are located near the doors and in the hallways. The sanctuary, Rodney Chapel, the main hallway and the staff wing are all equipped with the same high grade air filters as in hospitals plus air purifying devices that use needle-point bi-polar ionization on the air handlers that operate in these areas. These devices break down viruses, bacteria, mold, allergens, smoke, and odors in the air. These devices, along with the fact that we have a very high vaccination rate among our worshipers, makes Westminster one of the safest environments you can find.
Mask Policy
As of November 1, 2022
COVID-19 cases are down in New Castle County and most of those contracting it are reporting mild cases. With that in mind, our Session has updated our mask-wearing policy.
Our entire building is now mask-optional except for one place. Masks are required in:
- The back part of the center section of the sanctuary (the nave) and the balcony
Masks must fully cover the nose and mouth and be worn at all times in these sections.
(The front part of the center section in the sanctuary and side transepts continue to be mask-optional.)
With a mask-optional policy throughout our building except for the one area noted above, you may or may not choose to wear a mask in church school classes, Holy Toast Café, and meetings in other spaces within our building. We know that all of us will respect each other’s choices.
