November 3 @ 10:40 am - 11:30 am
Sunday, November 3, 2024
10:40 – 11:30 a.m.
Classroom 6 and Zoom
Presented by Chip Pfleegor
Did you know that, generally, Americans have four very different views of God? This class discusses a book by two Baylor University sociologists that is the most comprehensive and illuminating survey of Americans’ religious beliefs ever conducted. These two sociologists argue that many of America’s most intractable social and political divisions arise from religious convictions that are deeply held but rarely discussed. As the book’s subtitle states, this class will be what “we say about God – and what that says about us.”
After growing up in a small town in north central Pennsylvania and graduating from Penn State, Chip Pfleegor served in the Navy and then worked for an international chemical company retiring in 2017. He moved to Wilmington in 1985 and quickly joined Westminster. Chip is currently an Elder and has served on Membership and Evangelism, Communications, and Adult Education Committees.
