Hunger and the lack of nutritious food continues to be a critical issue in our community, especially for children. As we have seen, recent actions by the Federal government have exacerbated the crisis by denying access to traditional sources of food for our neighbors in need. Clients of the nearby Hanover Food Closet will so appreciate your gifts of protein, hearty soups, instant oatmeal – you get the idea! Donations of personal items not included in assistance programs, nonperishable food items and, of course, enriched cereals will help people weather this crisis. Think of this as a critically important way to love our neighbors as ourselves.
