Westminster’s 2023–2024 Concert Series continues with internationally renowned concert pianist and Steinway Artist Gayle Martin. Her program will include works by Brahms, Chopin, Grieg, Liszt, Schumann, and César Franck’s rarely performed Prelude, Chorale, and Fugue, which she recorded at Westminster on a previous visit.
From Moscow to Buenos Aires and New York to Los Angeles—in concertos and recital—Gayle Martin’s “deep seated emotional response to the music” (Washington Post) creates “A truly magical atmosphere.” The Houston native rose to prominence as the sole American laureate of the Sixth International Tchaikovsky Piano Competition in Moscow—the third American woman ever to reach the finals. Come and be swept away by the emotional richness of glorious masterpieces from the height of the Romantic era in the hands of a master.
A free-will offering will be collected at the concert to support Westminster’s Music Fund.
