This class will examine issues of enforced and involuntary disappearance, detention, and mass graves within the Palestinian West Bank context. The class will:

- Situate state policies of disappearance and detention within an historical, century-long framework, as well as a regional context
- Discuss what these events mean for families of the missing
- Examine the impacts of missing persons events on communities and state formation
- Discuss their role within the current conflict and their implications for regional peace
