Peace and Justice Education Event: The Poor People’s Campaign in Delaware

January 30 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Thursday, January 30, 2025
7–8 p.m. on Zoom

With Cecelia Hobbs, Delaware Poor People’s Campaign

In 1968, the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and many others called for a “revolution of values” in America. They sought to build a broad, fusion movement that could unite poor and impacted communities across the country. Their name was a direct cry from the underside of history: the Poor People’s Campaign. Today, the Campaign has picked up this unfinished work in 40 states. Join us as Cecelia Hobbs describes the work accomplished in 2024, the makeup of Delaware’s Coordinating Committee, and its plans for 2025. Learn how you can play a role in seeking justice! Hosted by Westminster’s Peace & Justice Work Group.
