August 1, 2024 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Thursday, August 1, 2024
7-8 p.m. on Zoom

Facilitated by Sue Linderman

What do you recall about the year 1968? What have you read about that time in our history? Were you, or your family, living in or near Wilmington then? Do you know the story of the longest military occupation of a U.S. city since the Civil War and the ways its legacy affects us today? Join us as we learn about that time period in our local history. Community activist Bebe Coker will share her experiences and perspective on this pivotal time.  Come share your reflections on the events that occurred and the impact that still carries forward into today. Hosted by Westminster’s Peace & Justice Work Group.
