Peace and Justice Education Event: Planting to Feed – Fresh Food for Our Hungry Neighbors
June 22, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Thursday, June 22
7 p.m. on Zoom
With Founder & President Jessica Wescott
Imagine, if you can, that you live on Wilmington’s East Side, an area known as a “food desert.” Several blocks away, out on the street next to a community building, is – a refrigerator! Decorated with images of brightly colored fruits and vegetables, it says “Free Food For All.” Join us when Jessica Wescott returns to provide an update on the work of the Planting to Feed Program that provides various creative ways of making healthy food available to families experiencing food insecurity in Wilmington. Westminster is an enthusiastic partner, stocking two fridges one week per month with fresh produce. Come learn how you can help! Hosted by Westminster’s Peace & Justice Work Group.
