Peace and Justice Education Event: We Need to Talk About an Injustice

July 6, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Thursday, July 6, 2023
7 p.m. on Zoom

Bryan Stevenson TED Talk and Discussion

Join us as we watch a 25-minute video featuring Bryan Stevenson, the founder and Executive Director of the Equal Justice Initiative, a human rights organization in Montgomery, Alabama. His powerful exposition on race, poverty, and our criminal justice system raises fundamental questions about our identity, our purpose, and our actions. He challenges us to face injustice, to talk about race and poverty, and to take compassionate action to make our world a more just place – challenging us to be hopeful…to be “brave, brave, brave.” Come and share your reflections on the picture he paints and his hope for the future. Hosted by Westminster’s Peace & Justice Work Group.
