Peace and Justice Education Event: The Rise of Antisemitism
December 8, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Thursday, December 8
7 p.m. | Zoom
With Rabbi Douglas Krantz
Antisemitism began with those who blamed Jews for the death of Jesus. It has been furthered by the mythology that Jews possess excess power in controlling or manipulating global human affairs. In the United States, the Rothschild family has been blamed for instigating the American Civil War, plotting to assassinate President Abraham Lincoln and, later, even President Kennedy. Antisemitism is on the rise again, along with racism and other evils that beset the human community. We will explore key aspects of the history of antisemitism and its prevalence in the age of the internet. Hosted by Westminster’s Peace & Justice Work Group.
