Peace and Justice Education Event: Electrify Everything!
April 20, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Thursday, April 20
7 p.m. on Zoom
Video and Discussion Facilitated by Sally Buttner and Roger Reinicker
Why is electrification important? Average American households contribute 20 to 30 tons of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere each year through electric use, transportation, heating and cooling houses, and heating hot water. These emissions can be reduced to zero through electrification! Choosing a renewable energy supplier, installing solar panels, using heat pumps to heat and cool our houses and heat our water are all steps toward zero emissions. All of us have a role to play in transitioning toward a sustainable planet. Learn about these tools and tax rebates and credits that are available to move toward zero emissions! Hosted jointly by Westminster’s Peace & Justice Work Group and Earth Care Task Force.
