Peace and Justice Education Event: “KING: A Life” by Jonathan Eig
January 11 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Thursday, January 11, 2024
7-8 p.m. on Zoom
Video and discussion
As MLK Day approaches, we take a deeper look at Rev. King’s life and purpose. “King: A Life” reveals a minister wrestling with his own human frailties and dark moods, a citizen hunted by his own government, a man determined to fight for justice. This landmark biography gives us an MLK for our times: a deep thinker, brilliant strategist, and a committed radical who led one of history’s greatest movements, whose demands for racial and economic justice remain as urgent today as they were in his lifetime. Join us for a video presentation by the author, followed by group discussion. Hosted by Westminster’s Peace & Justice Work Group.
