The stunning singers of New York Polyphony (NYP) join Piffaro in a program of English music for the Christmas season. Ethereal polyphony from the Eton Choirbook and jaunty 15th century carols will be bookended by music from as long ago as the 12th and 13th centuries (The Later Cambridge Songs, Worcester Fragments), and two pieces by 21st century composer Andrew Smith written just for NYP. Despite representing vastly different eras, this evocative music of the season will transcend time and place.
