Reducing Delaware’s Greenhouse Gas Emissions
June 2, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Thursday, June 2, 7 p.m. on Zoom
Dustyn Thompson, Sierra Club Delaware
Delaware, unlike most of our neighboring states, has not established meaningful goals on reducing dangerous greenhouse gas emissions. Scientists agree that emissions must be reduced by 50% by 2030, and to net zero by 2050, in order to remain below the critical threshold of 1.5 degrees Celsius warming. Delaware needs legislation to establish meaningful goals. Time is running out to get legislation this year, and there will be opposition. Come learn from the Sierra Club Delaware Chapter about this issue and how you can support establishment of goals. Hosted by Westminster’s Peace & Justice Work Group.
