Presented by the Rev. Jill Getty, WPC Pastoral Care Assistant
Join us for an engaging six-session DVD study, Walking in the Footsteps of Jesus, by Adam Hamilton, where he explores the life and ministry of Jesus Christ in the Holy Land. This unique experience includes on-location video footage that brings the biblical narrative to life. Participants will journey to significant sites, including the river where Jesus was baptized, the wilderness where he faced temptation, and the ruins of ancient Capernaum, known for the miracles Jesus performed there. They will also visit the mountain where he delivered his most famous sermon, the Sea of Galilee where he calmed the wind and waves, and the last remaining community of Samaritans. The journey culminates in Jerusalem, the place where Jesus spent his final days.
Throughout the study, participants will engage in six key topics: three in February and three sessions in March. The first session focuses on baptism and temptation, the second on the healing ministry, the third on proclaiming the kingdom, the fourth on calming the storm, the fifth on sinners, outcasts, and the poor, and the sixth on the final week of Jesus’ life.
The Rev. Jill Getty is an ordained minister who has served as Pastoral Care Assistant at Westminster since 2009.
