Classroom 5
Presented by Janet Steinwedel and other Vision 2030 team members
This year the Vision 2030 team plunged into Phase II with a fresh vision statement* and a mind to “Engage, Equip, and Empower.” Phase II has been all about widening the circle — getting more people involved and ensuring more people know how to support the Westminster community over the next five years and beyond. Transformation work is continuous discernment, gaining new insights, exploration, and experimentation. Join us in discussion about church transformation and share your thoughts on growth, development, and sustainability.
Janet Steinwedel is a long-time member of Westminster. After six years on Session and working with the Presbytery on the Vital Congregations Initiative, she is now leading the Vision 2030 team. Her background in human and organizational systems and adult transformation make her a good candidate for seeing us through this emergent period in which Christianity currently finds itself.
*Vision Statement: The Vision 2030 team seeks to empower and equip the congregation to strengthen our beloved spiritual community through innovation, engagement, belonging, and by further enhancing internal and external partnerships.
